We are seeking a Cloud Architect to join the team supporting the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Space Force Base in Melbourne, Florida.

NOTE: This is not a remote/telework job. This job requires the selected applicant to have an active U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of hire and, therefore, requires U.S. citizenship.

As a Cloud Architect, you will supportbe the technical expert on the government customers’ cloud computing strategy supporting mission-essential data flow to store and distribute to both internal and external partnerswithin cloud platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Implement time-critical cloud solutions to deliver, monitor mission data using modern software tools and applications
  • Interpret software requirements, information needs, system flows, and detailed designs into cloud solutions for data usage, and work processes
  • PerformLead the performance of technical troubleshooting in a cloud environment
  • Perform analysis to determine assignable failure, recommend and implement cloud-based solutions, assist with testinginfrastructure and application testing on in-house and third-party software
  • Coordinate with customercustomers to understand and document data flow requirements suitable for cloud environments
  • Assist with establishing priorities for overall cloud integration projects through a DevSecOps pipeline while working hardware, software and data delivery issues
  • Assist customercustomers in operationalizing software applications in a secure, scalable and reliable cloud environment
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other relevant fieldfields of study
  • Relevant 5+ years of experience
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification
  • Understands cloud networking and security frameworks
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to coordinate and communicate with executives, external partners, and project stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable on concepts in DevSecOps principles
  • Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages and frameworks utilized in cloud software developments
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, scripting in Shell, Bash, and yaml
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or obtain within 180 days of hire)
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization, container technologies (Docker, container) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Experience wwith Linux, installing software, patches, and updates on Serverscloud platforms
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, scripting in Shell, Bash, and yaml
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles
  • Knowledgeable on concepts in DevSecOps principles
  • Demonstrate proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks utilized in cloud software developments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python and Golang coding languages
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or obtain within 180 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification

  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Must have a fully adjudicated (not an interim) Government clearance.
  • Must pass a drug test.
